This Arabian gelding was 15 years old. He had 14 owners in his life. He suffered through abuse, starvation and neglect. He was bought in an auction for $50.
He dragged his hind legs when he walked and limped on his front legs which both had abscesses. You could see almost every bone in his body.
He was one of the kindest, friendliest and most amazing horses I've ever met.
He would whinny hello to every person he saw and cry when they left.
He was put down just two weeks after being bought, but during those two weeks, he made many friends, had good food and lots of love and care.

Why are such friendly, beautiful horses like King ending up in auctions and in slaughter houses? Horses are nondisposable. You cannot throw them away when you've had your fun. You cannot throw them away once you realize they cost money. You cannot, and should not throw them away like last weeks trash.

People sicken me.

beautiful shot, poor thing
it seems sometimes the horses that are treated the worst are the kindest you'll ever find :tears:
its not fair, at least he was happy and loved his last two weeks

Dear God, If there aren't horses in heaven. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I'm not going :D
Sounds like a fantastic horse. He looks so trusting and its impossible to comprehend why there are people who can do that to a horse and then go on about their lives like nothing happened. :disbelief:

He has such soft eyes :(
People play god, and it is always the weak who suffer. Unforgivable.

Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them.

:( He was such a lovely horse, I won't ever forget him.
